Q. How can some transport providers give such low bids?

Most transport companies will bid on multiple jobs heading in the same direction or be looking or return loads, this allows them to give reduced prices.

They may collect several items and deliver them all on the same route. Some will even store the item for a day or two after collection to fit it's delivery in with other items.

They could also be looking for return loads so they don't come back from a delivery empty, paying for the petrol is costs to come home.

I’ve submitted bids but have not won any, how come?
